Telmara entered her barracks, and set up her Romulan Ale kit. She didn't believe in the replicated stuff, she thought that if you were drinking, you were drinking, not simply because it tastes nice, and not simply because it has the effects of alcohol, but both, and to remove either or both as the replicators did, not to mention her rationed replicator quota was not large enough to grant her a romulan ale whenever she wanted it, she decided that this was the best alternative.
Over the first six months she saved rations by not eating all of her quota, allowing it to accumulate, and when she was close enough to Romulan relay stations, she gathered what she required in the form of instructions to make Romulan Ale, as she never had to make it before back when she lived on Romulus.
The result was replicating the mechanisms that produced the ale, and the ingredients nessecary. Of course, this could never be quite the same as the true thing, considering that the ingredients were replicated, but it was a lot closer than anything simply replicated.
She assembled the kit once more, replicated the ingredients and began the process. She left it going to meditate as it worked.

Munro walked into the room and saw her roomate placing somthing on the shelf. "Need a hand?" She smiled. She had devolped a cordial relation ship with the Romulan but had yet to really speak to her or anyone else on the ship. The last 5 years had been rather busy ones, now she had a few moments here and there when the ship wasn't constantly in battle every 24 hours in the intial campaign that lead to the current fleet, she wanted to get to know her crew better and make some freinds.

Telmara had neglected to notice Lt. Munro enter the room, but as usual Telmara was open with her. "No... Thank you. You know, in all this time that we've known each other, you have never asked to have any of my Romulan Ale." Telmara pointed out. "I am making a new crate of it right now, my supplies are usually higher than my needs, perhaps you'd care to join me in a small drink?" Telmara walked over to her small, but adequete cabinet, she had several bottles there, most of her bottles were stored in crates in one of the remaining cargobays.
She blew the light dust off one of her older bottles it read.
BATCH #54, YEAR 2389
In standard federation font on a generic label. She put the bottle down and got out two of her four glasses on the table, and poored herself a glass, notioning for Munro to join her as she paused the bottle over the second glass waiting for her approval.

Maria smiled at her "Sure why not" she said sitting at the small blue plastic and metal table they shared "just not to much, I have the early shift tomorrow."

Telmera almost chuckled. "Maybe only a couple of glasses then, I know how your human livers can't stand up to the ale as much as our Romulan ones can, I figured out that by your human standards Romulan Ale is 50% alchohol." She carried the two glasses over and placed them down on the table. After she let go of Maria's, she lifted hers up to her lips and drank a small portion. As ironic as it was, the human expression that went something like if something needs to be done you must do it yourself, seemed to apply vaguely here. "It is interesting. We have served together for five years... the first few we were almost constantly busy with war efforts, but even still, my relationships with the crew, slightly less so with yourself Maria, have been undeveloped." she finished, sipping her drink again.

"Thats true" she smiled and took a sip of the beverage, wincing for a moment and then then trying to conceal her reaction which included a cough before continuing "yeah, well hopefully with us having some time on our hands you might get a chance."
