Name: Dirol Evek
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Species: Cardassian
Place of Birth: Cardassia Prime
Height: 6’5”
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Black
Skin Pigment: Grey
Rank: Chief Petty Officer
Family:
Father: Gul Jeran Evek (deceased, 2311 - 2372, the Badlands)
Mother: Mattia Evek (deceased, 2319 - 2375, Cardassia Prime)
Older Brother: Orac Evek (deceased, 2338 - 2374, Septimus III)
Older Sister: Ilana Evek (deceased, 2347 - 2375, Cardassia Prime)
Younger Sister: Tilan Evek (born 2358 - , currently located on Cardassia Prime)
Bio: Born 2354 on Cardassia Prime, but raised most of his life on the Cardassian border worlds located near the Badlands. After the Cardassian – Federation War, Dirol’s father was assigned Administrative duties over the Badlands. During this time his father was in charge of negotiating for the Cardassian colonists in any disputes between the Cardassian and Federation colonists located in and around the Badlands. This however was a boring life for the ever-active Dirol and as soon as he turned 16 in 2370, Dirol left for Cardassia Prime to enlist in the Cardassian Military Academy. After two years Dirol graduated while specializing in Security, Tactical Operations and Helm Control. What was suppose to be a time of pride and joy was later turned sour for later in that year, while on a diplomatic mission in the Badlands, Dirol’s father’s transport experienced malfunctions or sabotage and was destroyed along with all of the passengers. It is still uncertain whether the destruction of the Transport was caused by a fluke accident or possibly Maqui sabotage. On top of that shortly after that incident the Dominion Wars began.
Dirol continued to serve Cardassia during the war, up until late 2374 when Legate Damar started up his rebellion against the Dominion. Unsatisfied with the treatment of his fellow Cardassians and the fact that both his Uncle and Brother died defending Septimus III, Dirol along with his younger sister Tilan took it upon themselves to assist Damar’s Resistance forces. The two siblings were with one of the many different cells set up around the Cardassian Empire, they only managed to avoid the purge of the 18 cells because they along with a couple of other Cardassians were on a mission on Cardassia Prime. When the news of the purges reached them, they had no choice but to go into hiding in Cardassia’s countryside. However a few weeks later news of Damar’s survival reached their ears and once again the Evek siblings took up arms, but this time it was during a planetary wide rebellion.
When the war finally ended and the names of the deceased came in, amongst the names were Dirol’s mother and older sister, they were apparently killed in one of the many bombardments caused by Dominion forces. The next year and a half, saw Dirol assist with the reconstruction of Cardassia, but with most of his family dead and nothing keeping him on Cardassia, Dirol decided to leave Cardassia and seek his own destiny. After leaving Cardassia, Dirol for one reason or another decided to join Star Fleet and he applied at Starfleet Academy. Dirol’s reasons for joining Starfleet range from being impressed with the Starfleet personnel who helped with the reconstruction efforts even after the fact that Cardassia started the war to wanting to learn what makes the Federation so effective at ruling for over two-hundred years with little internal and external problems. After graduating Dirol served aboard the USS Horashio in the security department for a time before being transferred to the USS Phoenix-B.
