Admirals Log Stardate 69788.5
We have taken the USS Andromeda, a galaxy class starship and are heading up a task force on the border of old Federation space. I have been uneasy since or incident involving our capture, and after the news I must now inform my crew I am ever eager to get my ship back and deal a blow to the butchers.
Kal lent back in his chair with a sigh. A blood tear welling in his eye over what he had just heard.
He breathed before standing and stepping out onto his new galaxy class bridge.
"I have war news, Mr Durn open a channel to all ships."
Durn nodded.
"Task force and crew. I regret to inform you of what I have just been told by Gamma fleet. Yesterday a huge riot took place on the Yurio colony. The human league responded by firing on the citizens. In the aftermath they killed over 900 humans and all the aliens still on the planet" his voice wavered "Let this be told to all of you so that we can avenge those deaths and avenge the principals we hold dear. That is all."
Kal sat in his chair as the channel closed.

Jack steps onto the bridge from the turbolift and sees the empty ops posisition. So he takes it trying to avoid communication with admiral dutton in the process.

Kals nods and Kaven's remark then turns noticing Hunter.
"I guess you have been busy Lieutenant. We all needed counseling after what happened. How are you feeling?"

"I am feeling Good sir. Commander Keil sends his thanks for all the support he is getting for his recovery and he hopes to be back on his feet soon. You know Sir your the only one who hasn't seen me for councilling?" he said looking at the admiral

"I have been busy" he replies avoiding the subject and turns to Macgyver "you have the bridge Julian."
He walked into the ready room. It hurt, very personally. He was going to strike those butchers back even if if it cost his life and his crew.
He sat at the desk and began viewing tactical and war reports. He would free those colonists.
Hours later the senior staff sat around the observation lounge table as Dutton relayed the plan.
"Two more task forces will meet us a light year from here. We will then commence the first big take back of a colony since this war started.The supplies, men and peace of mind we will get will be worth it but as you know Yurio is a tactical base. It is heavily guarded due to its shipyard and military ground base there. Commander Kaven, you and Commander Macgyver have two hours to fix a detailed battle plan. The gist of it is as soon as we break the border we will begin landing shuttles. As many men as can be sparred will go into ground battle as their numbers down there are large. Anyone who wishes to remain on the ship and command or aid in the space battle should inform me within the hours we have. Dismissed."

She nodded before heading out of the door with a sigh. She was nervous, something about all of them, all of this. It scared her. She had never been into full ground combat. And no doubt the Admiral would wish her there.
She made her way to the engine room and began preparing. Forcefield around the core, weapons all around. The usual.

"Well if we succeed in taking it then we have a foot in the door. But its a glass foot. We will need to have to keep the colony. And do we have the resources for that? I mean we are almost spending them all trying to get this place. We have four rather basic potential out comes. Win with Major casualties, Win with Minor, Loose with Major or Loose with Minor." He offered, siting himself down across from Kal.

"We will win, retreat is not an option" he said, focused on the desktop in front of him as he pressed various buttons. He seemed obsessed.
