The sun shone down on the wooden cottage, its straw roof golden as the rays. The Village was quiet this time of morning accept for now as the church bell tolled seven times. Outside of the cottage Kal Dutton stuck his shovel into the dirt and moved his long hair from his face, he looked up his brown eyes meeting the sunlight, making him shield them. He liked this peaceful pace of life. He continued digging for a moment before noticing two men walking toward him, he knew them. "Oh, hello. I did not know you fellows were going to come so early" Kal spoke shaking ones hand "I guess you want the latest one?" "If you think it will help with our task" said the taller man. "Well you will have to judge that yourself, I can't make heads or tails of it." Kal lead them into the house, opening the creaking doors and letting it shut behind them "Can I get you folks a cider, even you city policemen have to drink" he offered. "No we are fine, just please tell us about the dream you had last night." "I followed you instructions and wrote down what I saw. Here we go." Kal rolled open some basic dirtied paper, wrote and drawn on with the near by quill pen. On it were a few symbols, the dotted area looked like space and the symbols were that of a Starfleet emblem. Above each was a code starting with NCC.

Maria watered the last plant and made her way inside the house. "Good morning farther" she says. Harmon looked up and smiles at his daughter "good morning my dear, did you sleep well?" "Yes" she said sitting "are you...?" "I'll be fine today" he says and takes another spoon of his broth breakfast "yours in on the table." Maria stands, walks over and takes the other bowl, sitting back down at the table. "I saw those city strangers come back today" she said picking at the soup. "Now now, I told you not to concern yourself with such things. That is Kal Dutton's trouble not yours" Harmon replied. "But I had that dream again last night, I was in a world of lights and spirt folk." "Do not speak of it!" He raised his voice "the devil shall not win your soul to his land." They said nothing else before Maria stood "I'm going into town." She picked up her shoulder jacket and made her way outside. As she walked past the bakers her mind was on those dreams, what were they?

"I shall be out, today Delilah. I would like to see some of the villagers. Like Mr. Dutton, he seems, well I would like to see him. I shall return latter this evening." Julian removed his top hat and jacket from the coat rack that stood next to his office doors. "Yes sir." the older secretary answered, not looking at the man. He stepped out into the bright sun light of the day. He put his hat on and walked down the dirt road, he tossed a coin into the fountain in front of the Town Hall building. In the distance he could see the beautiful young Munro girl, watering some plants. Further along an newer carriage was standing by Dutton's farm and house. It was the City men again. He walked toward the Munro house, he would talk to Kal later. The girl had already gone inside. she then walked out again, and soon was past the backers. He stopped. "Is there a problem with your father?" He asked her.

Maria looked up from the window, basket in hand and spoke. "He is getting worse, his illness. It is not surprising, other than Vorak Vulcan he is the oldest man in the village, only good conditions have helped him this long. My mother did not do so well, I was hoping to see Doctor Ch'zar about it today" she replied.

"That is rather unfortunate, have you spoken to Father Keil? Perhaps he could pray for Harmon. I was going to see Kal but it seems he is indisposed. I shall go speak to your father." He said smiling to her. "Have a good day my dear." He said walking to the house.

Kal watched the men leave and saw Kavon Klingon walking near his home. "Can I help you?" He asked walking back down to his work near the fence.

She sighed and continued walking, If the farther knew of the dreams she would be in deep trouble. Harmon looked up hearing the door and opened it. "Yes?"

Telmara Vulcan sat opposite Vorak Vulcan, their legs crossed, and Vorak's eyes shut the entire time. They were surrounded by lit candles, and they had been sitting there for almost 60 minutes. Telmara began to get unconfortable, she could not understand how Vorak could sit down and wait for such a long period of time. She shuffled slightly, re-positioning herself a bit further back. She wasn't sure what this ritual meditation did for either of them, but her father insisted upon it at least once a day, Telmara always couldn't wait to get out. When she shuffled Vorak was alerted, but he said nothing, Telmara still had her eyes closed when she said.
"Father? May I leave now?" She always felt bad whenever she asked, but she really had other things better to do this morning, and it wasn't sitting down to herself and her own thoughts. Her father's responses, always seemed to lack emotion, she never understood why he didn't smile, or laugh, cry, sing, he was as fixed as a house or barn, and Telmara never quite understood. Gaining no response, she just closed her eyes again in frustration, shuffling slightly again before closing her eyes.

Vorak opened his eyes and sighed, he did not wish ill of his daughter but he certainly found her trying at times to his spiritual way of life. "You may leave, but make sure to go shopping. We need food." He then closed his eyes and returned to his meditative state.

"Yes father." Telmara stated coldly, getting up from her crossed legged position and walking out of the room, then the house. she walked onto the main road, and waited for a open carrabe taxi to take her, walking was very far, and she had more than sufficient money from her work to get her to the market.
"Taxi!" she yelled, as the horse and carriage pulled up to her house.
"Take me to the market place driver, but don't go too fast, I'm in no rush." she rather enjoyed the trips via carriage, so she didn't want to waste the 10 shillings it cost to hire a carriage on a short trip.
